William Hedrick, M.D.

Dr. William Hedrick founded the Centers for Pain Relief in 2002 after leaving a large orthopedic group. He had realized in that setting, many back, neck, and pain conditions were misdiagnosed and either treated with one modality when more was needed or too quickly was considered a surgical case. Dr. Hedrick started this successful pain treatment clinic based on the sound assessment skills taking an extensive history and performing a thorough examination."This is the foundation of being an excellent diagnostician. I take pride and great satisfaction in making the diagnosis previously missed by many clinicians before and providing my patients with the best medical treatment available anywhere ending their seach for effective care and relief. It is just very rewarding when patients report what they can now do since starting in our clinic. They get their lives back!"

Dr. Hedrick performed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia where he matriculated in 1994. He has served as a Medical Director for Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis and an Executive Medical Director for Northwestern Univeristy Medical Center and Loyola University Hospitals prior to moving to Fort Wayne in 2000. He has served as a Medical Director in the Lutheran Health Network since that time. His specialized interest now is in the treatment of back, neck, soft tissue, joint and neurologic pain conditions. Specifically, he now treats patients with Failed Back Surgery, Fibromyalgia, Neuropathy, Facet Disease, Sacroiliitis, Osteoarthritis/Rheumatoid Arthritis, Discogenic Pain with Degenerative Disc Diseases, Spinal Stenosis, Tendonitis, Motor Vehicle Accident-Related Injuries, Pinched Nerves (Radiculopathy), Cervical Dystonia and disorders of increased muscle tone, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, etc. He utilizes the latest developments in medication, therapy, laboratory testing, imaging, and intervention injections to provide the best medical assessment and treatment available anywhere. He works with a specialized team of anesthesiologists, psychologists, physical therapist, and nurse practitioners to help you accomplish your goals.
